All chaotic tragedies are mostly induced by the regions throughout the world with the lowest education level. For that reason, planning a good system of education is the first start to solve such problems: to increase higher awareness.
Since a long time ago, we have learned about education and the process. We have studied about education and teaching, especially in education and teacher training college. We also have learned a lot about teaching methodologies, teaching approaches, teaching methods, and teaching technics.
All of the above are the examples of the subjects being studied in the college of education and teacher’s training. So, pedagogically, all those matters are good lessons for improving our education system and also teaching and learning processes in the schools. All the subjects above are related to pedagogy. This field is for making the education system good in any country.
However, information system and technology (IST) have a tremendous effect on the world public lives. This IST today has made the people change their behavior. All information can be gained so easily and quickly. There are no boundaries between the nations in the world. We have no demarcation among the people living in the countries throughout the world today.
When the generation has evolved, the dimension of human life has also changed. In that, we have seen the term of generation X, generation Y, and even generation Z recently. The progress or advancement of anything has driven the life into more sophisticated. Children and younger people have eye-witnessed their own lives that have gone beyond their Ancestors.
We are the X generation, being the teachers in schools or faculties in
universities. We, therefore, should be able to adapt to the Y and Z generations.
Learning styles when we were in 1960 to 1990 are now becoming something odd in the perspectives of Y and Z generations. Therefore, the teachers in schools or faculties in universities have difficulty in making the classroom management really enjoyable for the Y and Z generations.
Unfortunately, education is for the future. It is not for the past. Consequently, all the processes of teaching and learning in the schools are for the future of our young generation. This is the start of the conflict that may often occur in the field of education processes.
Teachers in schools and faculties in universities are challenged to do some innovation. Having the knowledge from the past is not enough. Comparing the past with the present and making judging the present styles will be different. The past is the past, but the present is for the future. There are some strategies to be done by any country for making the best system of education.
First of all, mastering the skill of information and technology appropriate for the education process is a must. This knowledge is important because education and technology are the two complementary factors. Education should be enhanced by utilizing technology for improving efficiency and effectiveness of it is the best strategy.
Second, it is related to the infrastructure for improving the facilities in schools or universities. They should be equipped with some technology-based learning facilities. This can make all the teachers and faculties more literate with the information system and technology for education.
The third, it is the political will of the leaders in any country. They should be aware of the future generation. Education is not for the past, but it is for the future. To have the best quality of human resources is the first step in administering the country development. All the budget and the policies are directed towards improving the system of education for the future generation.
