One of the solutions from encountering the problem on garbage is the program on Solid Waste Management( R.A. 9003 ). Garbage consists chiefly of waste  that will not decay that includes plastic, paper, rags, bottles and metal cans.
Solid wastes are becoming increasingly dangerous to the pupil’s health. Most solid wastes in Bongbongon Elementary School are picked on scheduled date by the truck of Garbage Collectors.
Bongbongon Elementary School help reduced the amount of solid waste disposal every week among these are recycling pieces through the utilization of Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
In recyclable items such as metal cans, empty plastic bottles and papers all of them are the said products that can be reused at home, in our school garden and even be utilized as instructional materials.
Solid Waste Management Program has been strongly integrated to subject areas to strengthen its impact to child’s  behavior.
The school as well provides a 3-bin to segregate the garbage from biodegradable, non-biodegradable and recyclable.
To deepen this sense of responsibility, Teachers as well lessen the collection of garbage by introducing to the pupils their responsibility of segregating waste and throwing it properly
on provided bin and (MRF),as part of actual appreciation of what pupils has learned from school.
The said training is of great help to lessen the collection of garbage inside the school premise. (Eve P. Demata, school waste management coordinator)
