SCOUTING, one of the different important–learning programs introduced to our school. It is the most attractive and exciting and even a unique in its system.
It may have started with the inspired of Lord Baden-Powell, but with its unique characters it attracted millions of boys, even girls who embraced with its life- embracing training. It teaches young boys and girls how to respond in times of needs.
With the different activities like training on bandaging, knot tying, trail signs, etc. to camping or hiking serves as a process that boys learn to cope with the unexpected, to learn to live, to love, and respect of nature and getting experience of working in the service to others.
A learning by doing program in the real, actual experiences with fun and fellowship in the challenges set during the JOTA-JOTI, given the boys a meaningful and useful impact for himself, with a character building moral and spiritual upliftment with growing contribution and useful citizen in the country.
Scouting has come alive with its program and activities lined by the Cagayan de Oro Council with the facilitating Scoutmasters- the Teachers- contributed much in molding the young mind of our boys for a better citizen in the future. May the boys continue to live the ideals set by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. (Maria Reena S. Capillan)
