PH government allocates P518-million road aid for Misamis Oriental

MISAMIS Oriental--Soon dirt roads in the province of Misamis Oriental will be cemented following its inclusion in the priority project of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (formerly known as Konkreto at Ayos na Lansangan ang Daan Tungo sa Pangkalahatang Kaunlaran or Kalsada Program).

Governor Yevgeny Vincente B. Emano announced this during the regular Monday flag-raising at the Capitol.

If realized, the road-concreting project is a great help in fixing and concreting the streets in the province, the governor said. Further, he said the project will help spur economic development in rural areas in the province and improved accessibility and ease transportation of goods and the riding public.

The said fund is now at the treasurer’s office of the Provincial Capitol and is waiting for the completion of the required steps and documentation to begin with the impending implementation of the people and to ensure the welfare of the funds. (EOR/PIA10)
