Teacher III, School Librarian

THE new era that we are living is in sometimes   called the age of information which resolves certainty with the new modern technologies that rises this time, computer is one technology that becomes a powerful tool for information.

Technology makes vast amount of information available at pupils’ fingertips.
But walls cannot embrace a LIBRARY.
It is more than a place, more than books, and films and records, more even than people who make it work.
Basically a library is a gathering of ideas, of INFORMATION put in order and shared.
And sharing is the whole point of a library.
This is the time to let pupils be aware of the importance of our library, as well as other school facilities that give information on what- ever purpose it may give.
The Library is indeed, the most important intellectual resources in the school. This is where the teaching and learning process is effectively enhanced and aptly complemented through the use of its resources.
Bongbongon Elementary School as non-central school of North II District, NHA, Kauswagan in the Division of Cagayan de Oro City implements various activities for information and organized source of good books, periodicals and other educational resources that supplement the needs of the school learner.
Library Hubbing at Bulua and Cugman Library Hub is as well used for additional reading materials in the school and supplements schools various programs, then it is therefore considered as an integral part of the school.
But Library would surely functions when teachers and pupils make use of its best resources that suits their learning needs.
With the Library Program, teachers and pupils with the school librarian, would surely make the visit to the library enriching and meaningful. (Hazel Celeste N. Villalon)
