Annual experiential program: New mayor, vice mayor, councilors takeover Cagayan de Oro City

THE 18th City Council during its  57th regular session presided over by Presiding Officer Protempore Zaldy Ocon  welcomed this year’s batch of Rotary Youth Officials led by Rotary Youth Mayor Christian Cezar A. Manabat of Liceo de Cagayan University and Rotary Youth Vice Mayor Anthony Francis A. Fornilos of Merry Child School, who will sit as their counterparts this week.
The youth city councilors are Sofia Allyson V. Sy (Xavier University);  Clint Russel P. Dosal ( Bugo National High School); Mary Joy B. Corpus  (Dansolihon National High School);  Princess Khylaa M. Racman (Balulang National High School);  Shaina Cassandra T. Laid (Iponan National High School); Julian Marie B. Tan (Lumbia National High School);  Jackyloue P. Saberon (Bayabas National High School);Elda Marrize B. Galacio (Little Me Academy) and  Christine Mae T. Madtahir (Puntod National High School).

Xymon D. Rosales (Indahag National High School);  Christ Israel A. Millare (Bulua National High School); Pauline Jhun C. Amper (Lourdes College-IBED); Emmanuel Nicole C. Sinayon (Cagayan de Oro National High School); Jamaica L. Alico ( Noah’s Ark Christian School); Jayson F. Kilat (Carmen National High School);  Rio Patricia Legaspi (PHINMA- Cagayan de Oro College) and Christine Alexie H. Adlaon (International School).

Rotary officials who will sit as counterparts of City Hall department heads are Robert Roy Y. Gallardo (Gusa Regional Science High School); Allena Mae D. Librando (Assumption Montessori School); Dionne Gemmajelle A. Sumanpan (Academy of International Education); ; Zeefpril T. Saldivar (Pilgrim Christian College); Liannah Danika E. Lambayao (Corpus Christi School); Mathew N. Sugang ((Tablon National High School); Jaylord Cris C. Borres (Kauswagan National High School) and Matt Johnnel R. Baylosis (Sacred Heart Academy of Bugo).

Rotary’s Tito Mora, who presented the students, said they were selected from 74 public and private schools in the city, and elected during the New Generation Forum held last Friday.

He thanked the city government for the support given to the Rotary Club for the Rotary Youth Program held every year.

Majority Floor Leader Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya said a tripartite agreement was forged by and between the city government, the Department of Education and the Rotary Club for the annual experiential program of the youth at City Hall.
